Hello! I guess this is as good a time as any to formally introduce myself! My name is Carter and I’m a local artist in Los Angeles, California, and I specialize in nail art and 3D sculpting. As a kid I had an innate love of all things creative, and started out in theater making props, learning to program light and sound consoles, learning to sew, being a stage manager from the age of 12 etc. I also have a love for music and songwriting, all things that still heavily influence the art I do today.

This year I am on a mission to bridge together myself as an artist and my artistic works online presence. This leap is kind of scary for me, I definitely think the pandemic altered my perception of myself on social media and hindered my ability to freely express myself, so its been a journey getting to a point where I feel comfortable making myself a huge part of my work and content. I think its important for me to take this leap as who I am, my personal growth, and my personality are huge aspects of my work and creativity.

Which brings me to this blog! I’ve always loved the idea of a monthly newsletter/blog detailing custom sets, showing my process BTS of editorial and filmed work, favorite sets of the month, client highlights, and that’s just what I plan on doing! I want to cultivate a community of like minded creatives who I can connect and work with! A dream of mine (I have many) is to be an acclaimed editorial manicurist. I admire so many talented manicurists, but I immediately fell in love with Natalie Minerva’s work on Euphoria. I had never seen the commonly referred to as “Instagram nails” on screen, creative, innovative, bold, intricate designs instead of the common clean up manicure really changed the perspective I had about the limits of my own career.

Being able to begin this journey on my birthday is just the absolute cherry on top. I have had so many special moments since I’ve began following this dream and im so happy to be able to start sharing it with you guys. Get ready for client spotlights, picture tutorials, fav sets of the season, and so so much more! So I hope you’ll join me in my (delulu) pursuit to achieving these goals in 2025! I have so much to show y’all, and I am hungry to create and live through opportunities for myself.
